Phumulani is a qualified Practicing Attorney and Conveyancer of the High Court of South Africa. He obtained his bachelor of laws from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. He completed his articles of clerkship from the law firm Norton Rose (formerly known as Deneys Reitz Attorneys). He thereafter was appointed as an Associate Director at the law firm Silinda-Moekoena and Associates in Nelspruit, where he headed their Conveyancing and Estates Department for three years. In this capacity he managed and oversaw a number of conveyancing projects.
Mr. Ngubane has also advised a number of Municipalities on various issues, ranging from contract disputes to labour matters. He currently sits as a Mediation Panelist for the Department of Rural Development and Land Affairs. In this capacity, he has in mediation processes between indigent farm dwellers and farm owners in and around KwaZulu-Natal Province.
