Katiso Patrick Tabola is passionate about young people and education. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology and Advanced Earth Science from the University of the Witwatersrand and Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Geology from the University of Pretoria.
He has over 7 years coal mining experience. Katiso started his career as a geotechnical assistant at Anglo American Thermal Coal and later joined Eyethu Coal as a Production Geologist. Due to his dedication, and hardwork, he was then appointed as a Mine Manager. He is the recipient of the Up and Coming Mine Managers Award (2017) and The Most Improved Mine Manager (2018).
Over the last ten years he has conducted youth orientated talks and seminars in South Africa, Zambia, Lesotho and Swaziland. The joy of seeing young people reach their full potential and change the livelihoods of their families, is what drives him to inspire others.
